Senior Forward Deployed DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer

As a Senior Forward Deployed DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll own the cloud, data, and infrastructure backbone that powers mission-critical solutions. Unlike traditional DevOps roles, you will be embedded with operators - working in the field to ensure infrastructure is built, scaled, and adapted to the unique needs of each portfolio company. You’ll combine technical excellence with client-facing problem solving, ensuring our systems are secure, resilient, and tailored to real-world requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) tailored to client needs

• Develop and operate data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and integration across portfolio companies

• Build and optimize Snowflake schemas, pipelines, and performance for analytics workloads

• Design, deploy, and manage Airflow environments (including MWAA) to orchestrate data pipelines and workflows

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines, factoring in client constraints

• Ensure systems are secure, observable, and resilient with monitoring, alerting, and logging frameworks

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in real time, improving reliability and scalability

• Partner directly with engineers and operators to ensure smooth deployment, adoption, and integration of solutions

• Evaluate and recommend infrastructure and data platform technologies to improve velocity, scalability, and reliability

• Design solutions that align with portfolio company infrastructure, licenses, and compliance requirements

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor on infrastructure strategy and scaling for portfolio companies

About You

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineering, with direct client-facing exposure

• Deep expertise in AWS services and cloud-native architecture; familiarity with GCP/Azure a plus

• Strong experience with Snowflake (pipelines, schema design, optimization, integration)

• Hands-on with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)

• Proven track record building, deploying, and supporting production systems in demanding environments

• Solid background in monitoring, observability, security, and scaling best practices

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless frameworks

• Strong communicator able to advise engineers, operators, and executives directly

• Pragmatic problem solver with a bias toward automation, ownership, and forward deployed execution

• Resourceful when integrating with diverse stacks, legacy systems, or compliance-driven environments

What We Offer

Pay Transparency

The annual base salary range for this position is $200,000-$250,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from the posted hiring range based upon work experience, and/or skill level, among other things. This role is also eligible for a discretionary fund performance bonus.
