Job Title: Registered Nurse – PACU - Travel Assignment

Location: Syracuse, NY

Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 – 15:00)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 07:00–15:00 (No weekends, holidays, or call)

Duration: Temp to Hire

Rate: Weekly Gross $2894

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Registered Nurse – PACU for an exciting Travel or Local job in Syracuse, NY.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative and post-anesthesia recovery care for adult and pediatric patients
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments in PACU
• Monitor airway, vital signs, and recovery progression
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate care when needed
• Collaborate with anesthesiology, surgical, and interdisciplinary teams
• Document care using EPIC EMR
• Ensure safe discharge criteria are met
• Maintain infection control and patient safety standards
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care
• Support efficient workflow in a high-volume outpatient surgery unit

Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience (within last 2 years)
• PACU experience in inpatient and outpatient settings required
• Pediatric PACU experience required
• Critical Care experience strongly preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Must pass background check, drug screen, and health clearance
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
• No history of license suspension or malpractice issues
