As a Bell Person, you are often the first and last impression of the guest experience. You will be responsible for providing intuitive and elevated service to our guests, ensuring their arrival, stay, and departure are seamless and memorable.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests upon arrival and offer a warm, personalized greeting.
• Assist guests with luggage handling, including delivery to and from guest rooms, storage, and organization.
• Escort guests to their rooms, explaining hotel features and room amenities with genuine enthusiasm.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations for local dining, attractions, transportation, and cultural experiences, reflecting Nine Orchard’s neighborhood focus.
• Anticipate guest needs and preferences, offering proactive service with discretion and charm.
• Maintain the cleanliness and order of bell carts, lobby areas, and storage facilities.
• Collaborate closely with Front Desk to ensure smooth and coordinated guest service.
• Handle guest requests for transportation (taxis, car services) and assist with deliveries, messages, and special requests.
• Ensure all guest belongings are handled safely and respectfully, following hotel protocols.
• Uphold Nine Orchard’s brand standards, maintaining a polished appearance and professional demeanor at all times.
• Support security by monitoring guest arrivals and departures and reporting any unusual activity.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a luxury or boutique hotel environment preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural ability to connect with guests.
• Deep knowledge of NYC, especially the Lower East Side, is a plus.
• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy luggage and other items up to 75 lbs.
• Flexible schedule, including availability on nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Poised, polished, and detail-oriented with a passion for hospitality.
• Must be able to stand and move for extended periods.
