Program Support Specialist
Program Support Specialist (Temporary)
Location: Albany, NY (In-Person)
Compensation: $19.72 per hour | 37.5 hours per week | Monday–Friday
The Program Support Specialist plays a key role in coordinating and supporting service delivery within the Community & Career Services department. This position serves as a primary point of contact for customers and ensures efficient intake, enrollment, and data management processes. Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of two years of experience in customer service and data entry in a call center, social services, or other client-facing administrative environment
- Associate degree in human services, social work, psychology, or related field preferred
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including database systems, word processing, and spreadsheets
- Bilingual or multilingual skills preferred
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers and visitors via phone, email, and in-person interactions
- Provide information about available services and assist customers with enrollment processes
- Support intake and assessment activities by collecting required documentation and determining program eligibility
- Connect customers to internal programs and community resources to ensure seamless service transitions
- Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date customer records and program data
