Non CDL-Driver I / Warehouse Assistant

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

As Non CDL-Driver I / Warehouse Assistant, as a Driver you will collect and deliver equipment between our company, our suppliers, and our customers. This will be done under the general supervision of the Branch Manager. As a Warehouse Assistant they will be responsible for receiving incoming shipments, verifying packing lists for quantity and correct items. Determine the receiving party and/or area for storage.

You will accomplish this by:

• A clean, valid driver's license.
• A DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MCSA-5876).
• Ability to follow verbal directions and written instructions.
• Ability to attach and remove hitches from vehicles.
• A team-player with a good work ethic (courteous, flexible, punctual, and professional).
• Ability to communicate via basic literacy and verbally.
• Level-headed, detail-oriented & safety contentious.
• Loading and unloading of tractor-trailer trucks in a timely and accurate manner.
• Unpack, verify, and record incoming merchandise or material.
• Basic computer entry skills
• Stock parts orders to the correct space.
• Pick and sort parts into specific orders to be delivered.
• Multi-tasks (e.g. deliveries, picking up stock, putting away stock, bin locating, etc.)
• Other duties as assigned.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:

• Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or other related fields preferred.
• Abilit to drive Manual Transmission
• Ability to read and pick part numbers.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with a 2-wheel dolly and pallet jack is preferred.
• Must be able to lift at most, 50 pounds.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• One-year related experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing environment. Certification preferred.

Physical and Mental Efforts

• This job functions year-round both indoors and outdoors in a traditional manufacturing / warehouse setting.
• Requires the ability to frequently lift objects up to 50 pounds.
• There will be varied temperatures based on seasonal weather.
• Activities will include sitting, standing, and climbing on and off equipment.
• Activities will occur while driving and loading/unloading for prolonged periods.
