Work You'll Do

As an Analyst in M&A I&D, as part of the S&G team, you will be responsible for:
  • Supporting mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures across the transaction lifecycle, including due diligence, pre-close planning, Day 1 readiness, integration and separation planning, analysis, execution, post-merger- integration / separation, and synthesizing overall strategy by analyzing a wide variety of solutions.
  • Build and maintain integration and separation workplans across functions such as finance, human resources, information technology, operations, and legal
  • Participating in setting engagement objectives and scope, developing workplans, tracking milestones, coordinating dependencies across workstreams, and identifying changes in scope or risks.
  • Building and selecting the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements such as business cases, pricing or complex financial analyses, and client-ready deliverables to support synergy, cost reduction, migration, and rationalization decisions.
  • Develop deliverables in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Working with managers and cross-functional teams to validate outputs, communicate recommendations, and deliver work aligned to client needs and engagement objectives.
  • Contribute to proposal development and collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones, as needed

The Team

M&A advises corporate and PE clients across inorganic growth/divestiture scenarios through M&A strategy, diligence, integration/separation planning and execution, financial and modeling services, and transaction financing.

Within our M&A offering, the Integration & Divestiture, Strategy and Governance team helps clients plan and execute the decisions, governance structures, and program management activities that are critical to successful integrations and separations. The team supports work such as Day 1 planning, milestone and dependency management, functional coordination, cutover planning, and execution oversight to help clients reduce disruption and capture transaction value.

Qualifications :

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years of experience in M&A integration and divestiture and/or M&A integration and divestiture service delivery
  • Experience supporting one or more M&A transactions
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred:
  • Experience working in a professional services consulting environment
  • Experience supporting integration planning, separation planning, or Day 1 readiness activities
  • Experience coordinating activities across cross-functional stakeholders, including human resources, finance, legal, information technology, and operations
  • Experience using Microsoft Visio
  • Experience preparing status updates, workplans, or client presentation materials
  • Advanced degree

This compensation range is specific to New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $88,600 to $147,600.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
