About the Role
Heyday is looking for a Senior Accountant who will play a key role in the Accounting and
Finance team’s expansion, helping with implementation of new processes and reconciliations,
and improvement of current systems that support the Accounting and Finance team’s work.

This position is remote, with a preference for candidates based in the New York City area, and will report directly to the Controller.

What You'll Do

• Weekly sales reconciliations to ensure all revenue is captured accurately


• Monthly bank reconciliations


• Lease accounting under ASC 842


• Sales tax submissions and reconciliations


• Partner with Retail Ops and Supply Chain on inventory related activity including
  completion of stock counts and monitoring of inventory adjustments


• Support an efficient and effective month end close process by assisting with recording
  monthly G/L journal entries, completing assigned account reconciliations and ensuring
  all reconciling items are investigated timely


• Support the Controller with audit requests and be able to provide explanations to
  auditors


• Monitor internal controls to ensure company standards are met


• Ad hoc projects as needed

The Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required


• Minimum 4 years’ experience in an accounting related role


• Prior experience with Multi-Unit Retail a must, and Franchise is a plus


• Strong understanding of accounting principles (U.S. GAAP)


• Netsuite experience preferred


• Advanced Excel skills required

Compensation: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
