We are currently seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our team at our Albany office with our corporate office being in NYC and Warehouse in NJ.
Position Summary:
The HR Manager will play a key leadership role in supporting and enhancing our team by managing all human resources functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, payroll auditing, and compliance. This position is ideal for a proactive, organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Hiring
- Oversee full-cycle recruitment: sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new hires
- Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs
- Maintain job postings, screen applicants, and coordinate interviews
- Employee Relations & Development
- Schedule and conduct regular employee reviews and evaluations
- Support team development through coaching, performance feedback, and training initiatives
- Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture
- HR Operations
- Maintain and update employee records and HR documentation
- Conduct regular audits of timesheets, payroll, and HR processes to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Manage PTO tracking, attendance, and employee schedules
- Compliance & Policy Management
- Ensure company policies are updated and in line with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Payroll Oversight
- Work with accounting or payroll provider to verify payroll accuracy
- Review employee hours, overtime, and any necessary adjustments prior to submission
- Track and reconcile employee benefits, bonuses, and wage changes
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HR Manager, HR Generalist, or similar role (preferably 3+ years)
- Strong knowledge of HR functions, including recruiting, interviewing, compliance, and payroll auditing
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with HR software, time tracking systems, and payroll platforms
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Work Environment:
- This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Albany office
- Occasional travel may be required for recruitment or team events
