CT Technologist

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans, ensuring patient safety, and providing accurate diagnostic images for evaluation by physicians. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Duties

• Perform CT scans on patients according to established protocols and procedures.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during imaging procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and diagnostic evaluations.
• Maintain equipment functionality through regular checks, cleaning, and reporting any malfunctions.
• Adhere to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during all procedures.
• Document patient information accurately, including medical history and imaging results.
• Stay updated on advancements in CT technology and participate in ongoing professional development.
• Assist in training new staff members or students in CT procedures as needed.

Skills

• Proficiency in diagnostic radiology techniques, including CT, PET scan, and mammography.
• Knowledge of urgent care practices and nuclear medicine applications.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to imaging procedures.
• Ability to conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations while ensuring patient safety.
• Experience with sonography is a plus but not required.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.

Qualifications

• Required Qualifications:

- Proficiency in conducting PET scans, CT scans, and DEXA scans - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology - Experience in mammography and X-Ray procedures - Ability to apply aseptic techniques in medical imaging - Familiarity with working in an urgent care setting - Excellent communication and organizational skills - Certification in nuclear medicine would be advantageous * Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center - Ability to perform sonography and work in an ER environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
