Project manager - product
Akkodis currently has a Catalog Project Manager position with a client located in Rochester, NY. This is a hybrid position, so the person needs to live within 60 miles of Rochester, NY. No C2C or agencies allowed with this position.
Rate Range: $42.00/hour to $47.00/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. The Catalog Project Manager is responsible for the development, coordination, and delivery of photo product catalogs for a worldwide eCommerce platform. As a member of the Systems and Software Development (SSD) group within the Imaging Division, the Catalog Project Manager will work closely with graphic designers, software developers, product owners, and others in the eCommerce platform development and delivery team with a sense of urgency and a focus on customer satisfaction and delight. The role relies on a blend of hands-on system development with Product Information Management (PIM), Digital Asset Management (DAM) and Workflow software systems along with managing the creation of product catalogs for this Direct To Consumer (D2C) retail offering. We’re looking for a natural leader and self-starter that is dedicated to driving the catalog processes and who exercises strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills in managing multiple competing demands concurrently. - Coordinate internal resources and third-party partner resources to achieve flawless execution of photo product catalog development and delivery
- Ensure that all catalogs are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget
- Establish and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Develop detailed plans and then monitor and track progress to be shared with internal and external stakeholders
- Implement catalog review processes to ensure they are continually meeting requirements on scope, schedule, budget, quality, and other key metrics
- Take responsibility for the overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical tasks
- Make sure all catalog processes are clearly documented, and documentation is stored in the appropriate repository
- BS/BA in a technical discipline
- Experience working in the software development and delivery space
- Aptitude for technology and ability to connect technical concepts with customer value
- Proven working experience in project management with excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Experience with the full lifecycle for both Waterfall and Agile software development projects
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 suite of tools (Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Team player with excellent communications and presentation skills, able to quickly develop internal relationships
- Direct hands-on experience with at least one agile project management tool such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Hands-on experience and demonstrated ability to develop and maintain JavaScript code
- Ability to independently understand API documentation and integrate with the applicable APIs from within the catalog development and management system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with technical and non-technical management
- Highly conscientious and detail-focused, with a meticulous approach to every aspect of work.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong ability to build effective working relationships
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior level business leaders as well as graphic designers, software developers, and QA staff
- Experience with the full lifecycle of hybrid Agile-Waterfall software development projects preferred
- Knowledge and experience with photofinishing and printing preferred
- Hands-on experience with Akeneo, Bynder, and Workato software preferred
