Superintendent – Multifamily / Commercial Construction (Albany, NY Area)

Location: Albany, NY
Compensation: $85,000–$110,000 base salary (DOE)
Benefits: 401(k) with profit share, medical (company covers 80%), dental, PTO, paid holidays, $700/month vehicle allowance, phone reimbursement
Duration: Multi-year project with additional work lined up in the Albany region

Current Project

The Superintendent will take the lead on a major apartment renovation and mechanical refresh project in Albany.

  • The scope includes interior modernization, mechanical upgrades, and phased work across multiple residential buildings.

  • The project will run for multiple years, offering steady, local work with a reputable regional builder.

  • The role requires excellent coordination, communication, and proactive field management to keep progress moving smoothly while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day field operations and ensure safe, timely, and high-quality project execution.

  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site teams with clear communication and accountability.

  • Coordinate inspections, material deliveries, and scheduling with project management.

  • Enforce safety compliance and quality control procedures.

  • Review drawings, resolve field issues, and ensure adherence to plans and specifications.

  • Maintain detailed project documentation, daily reports, and updates for the management team.

Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent on multifamily or commercial construction projects .

  • Strong understanding of building systems, MEP coordination, and site logistics.

  • Proficiency with Procore, Excel, Outlook , and scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar).

  • OSHA 30 certification required.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills; able to lead from the front and keep work on track.
