Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to provide high-quality preventive dental care and oral health education to patients of all ages. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, safety, and clinical excellence in a fast-paced dental environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and root planing
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Assist dentists during oral examinations and procedures
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care practices
• Review and verify patient medical and dental histories
• Ensure patient comfort and maintain a positive experience
• Adhere to infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in EMR systems
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment areas
• Collaborate effectively with dental and administrative staff
• Support basic administrative tasks, including documentation and data entry as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited Dental Hygiene program required
• Active New York State Dental Hygienist license required
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical dental hygiene experience preferred
• Proficiency in dental cleaning techniques, scaling, and radiography
• CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required based on facility policy)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems preferred
• Knowledge of infection control standards and dental safety protocols
