Job Title: Cyber Readiness Project Management Assistant

Location: Brooklyn, NY (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote per week)

Duration: 12 Months

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Cyber Readiness Project Management Assistant to support a critical cybersecurity program for municipal agencies. This role requires strong project management capabilities, effective communication, and a solid understanding of cybersecurity operations, especially around incident response and readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management Support:

  • Monitor and ensure annual updates of Incident Response Plans across 70+ agencies.

  • Track and verify biannual updates to Cyber Incident Escalation Paths.

  • Confirm annual updates to IT and cybersecurity service inventories (internal, city-wide, or vendor-provided).

  • Maintain accurate records of project progress in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).

  • Develop and document new procedures to enhance cyber readiness program efficiency.

Agency Coordination & Scheduling:

  • Coordinate annual Cyber Crisis Simulation Trainings and Incident Response Refresher Trainings.

  • Schedule annual Asset Validation and Enrichment sessions for 20+ agencies.

  • Ensure ongoing scheduling for Public Facing Web Application Assessments across key agencies.

  • Facilitate onboarding of new agencies, ensuring delivery of templates and program documentation.

  • Create custom presentations and meeting materials for agency-specific engagements.

  • Capture and maintain detailed meeting minutes for all formal interactions.

  • Proactively escalate unresponsive agencies to appropriate teams (Cyber Ops or Audit & Compliance).

  • Maintain strong communication flow between operations and onboarding teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on incident response and security best practices.

  • Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, tracking, and coordination.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

  • High attention to detail for documentation and reporting.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and recommend actionable solutions.

  • Proven ability to manage and engage diverse stakeholders across departments.

  • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM/project tracking tools.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from program data.

  • Experience in procedure development and documentation.

  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
