Our offerings include house-made sandwiches, salads, and baked goods, award-winning grilled cheese sandwiches, artisanal cheeses, and a plethora of gourmet grocery and home items.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Associate to support our kitchen team. As a Kitchen Associate, you will be responsible for preparing salads, sandwiches, and various catering items in addition to cleaning, dishwashing, receiving and stocking.

We are looking to fill a part-time position (3-4 shifts/week, ~ 20-30 hrs) with opportunity to grow to full time.

All kitchen positions receive a percentage of the day's tips on top of their hourly wages. Starting rate ranges from $21-26 / hour including tips (depending on experience).

Responsibilities:

- Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meats, and cheeses according to recipes and menu specifications.

- Assist with the preparation of sandwiches, salads, and other menu items.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep stations and kitchen areas.

- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

- Collaborate with Kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food service.

- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including receiving orders, stocking and inventory management.

- Contribute to the creation of new menu items and seasonal specials.

Qualifications:

- 21+

- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment required

- Weekend and holiday availability required

- Strong knife skills and an understanding of basic cooking techniques

- Strong adherence to food safety standards

- A positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team setting
