Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Location: Ithaca, NY

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Night Shift

Pay Range: $52.00 – $60.00 per hour

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The ICU RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals. This role requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill ICU patients

• Continuously monitor, assess, and evaluate patient conditions and respond to emergencies

• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with provider orders

• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans

• Float to Medical-Surgical units when required while maintaining established care standards

• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and care plans

• Accurately document patient care, assessments, and interventions per facility policies

• Adhere to all hospital protocols, infection control practices, and safety guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Minimum of 1 year of ICU nursing experience (preferred)

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Medical-Surgical units

• Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification

• Proficiency with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and ICU-related equipment

Education Requirements

• Required: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
