Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit - RNDS#001
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Location: Ithaca, NY
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift (3 × 12-hour shifts)
Weekly Hours: 36 Hours
Local Rate: $52.00 – $60.00 per hour (based on experience)
Role Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and highly skilled ICU Registered Nurse to deliver critical care services in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to support additional units as patient volume requires.
Key Responsibilities
Critical Care Delivery: Manage complex ICU patients, including mechanical ventilation, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, and titration of vasoactive medications.
Unit Flexibility: Willingness to float to Med-Surg units as needed based on patient census (Med-Surg nurse-to-patient ratio is consistently 5:1).
Emergency Response: Actively participate in Code Blue and Rapid Response events, providing timely and effective life-saving interventions.
Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal outcomes for critically ill and stable patients.
Required Qualifications
Licensure: Active New York State (NYS) Registered Nurse license.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU or Critical Care experience.
Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Availability: Ability to work night shifts and float to lower-acuity units when required.
