Bar Prep Position Overview
As a Bar Prep team member, you will play a critical role in supporting the daily operations of our cocktail program. This position is responsible for preparing fresh juices, syrups, garnishes, infusions, batched cocktails, and other ingredients essential to service. You will help maintain organization, cleanliness, and efficiency behind the scenes while gaining hands-on exposure to advanced cocktail techniques, spirits knowledge, and the standards that define a world-class beverage program.

Key Responsibilities
Bar Preparation & Production
- Prepare fresh juices, syrups, infusions, garnishes, and batched cocktail ingredients according to established recipes and specifications.
- Assist in the production of high-quality cocktail components while maintaining consistency and attention to detail.
- Scale and modify recipes as needed while ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met.
- Support the execution of menu changes and special projects.
Organization & Inventory
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient prep area at all times.
- Stock bar supplies and ingredients according to operational needs and company standards.
- Assist with liquor requisitions and inventory organization.
- Develop a thorough understanding of storage systems and product locations throughout the venue.
Operational Support
- Ensure the bar is fully stocked and prepared for service each day.
- Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and company policies.
- Communicate inventory needs, maintenance concerns, and operational issues to management.
- Collaborate with bartenders, barbacks, and management to support a seamless guest experience.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience & Knowledge
- 1–2 years of bar prep, barback, or related hospitality experience preferred.
- Experience working in a high-volume craft cocktail environment.
- Basic knowledge of spirits, cocktail ingredients, and bar tools.
- Familiarity with batching systems and recipe preparation.
- Understanding of units of measurement and inventory organization.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and work for extended periods (8–10 hours).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to bend, squat, stretch, and work in confined spaces as needed.
- Ability to perform repetitive prep tasks while maintaining quality standards.
- Availability to work morning shifts.
Schedule
- Approximately 30 hours per week
- Morning availability required
- Weekend and holiday availability may be required based on business needs
