Summary:
This position involves providing intensive speech and language, feeding, and/or Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) services in an educational setting.
The contract role is based onsite in New York, NY, requiring proficiency in communication applications and strong interpersonal skills.
Requirements
Valid license and current registration as a Speech Language Pathologist issued by the New York State Department of Education
Current certification and registration as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) or Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD)
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong writing and organizational skills
Proficient in general office software
Qualifications
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
Experience with AAC/AT and communication applications
Knowledge of oral motor structures and function
Experience with swallowing and feeding issues
Experience working with individuals with complex physical and communication delays
Experience with speech motor disorders
