Full-Charge Bookkeeper

Full-Charge Bookkeeper | New York, NY

The Rachel Comey Finance team is seeking a Full-Charge Bookkeeper to join our team and support the day-to-day financial operations of the business.

This role requires a highly detail-oriented professional with strong bookkeeping skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting accounting operations, and ensuring the timely processing of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full Accounts Payable (A/P) cycle, including invoice processing, coding, and vendor inquiries.

• Assist in daily recording of ACH, credit card, and check deposits.

• Reconcile bank, credit card, and vendor statements to ensure accuracy.

• Assist with Accounts Receivable (A/R) tasks, such as creating and sending invoices and tracking overdue balances.

• Support monthly and year-end closing procedures and the preparation of financial reports.

• Collaborate with the Senior Accountant on special projects as needed.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar accounting role.

• Strong bookkeeping, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Advanced proficiency in Intuit, QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.

• Thorough knowledge of GAAP and financial chart of accounts.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience in the apparel, retail, or fashion industry.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $65,000–$75,000

Work Environment

Hybrid role based in New York City, requiring regular collaboration with Marketing, E-commerce, Retail, Wholesale, and Design teams.
