What is a Security Investigator?
Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation is seeking an practiced Law Enforcement agent to assist in the enhancement of the physical security of all Central Hudson personnel and property, while reducing the risk of disruption to the critical infrastructure.

What does a Security Investigator do?

»Responds to, assesses and takes control of incidents and investigations that occur within their office property or service area involving Central Hudson Gas & Electric personnel and/or property

»Prepares and submits investigative reports, criminal depositions, and other court related documentation

»Conducts annual emergency response drills with the First Responder community

»Participates in the Revenue Recovery Program

»Conducts physical security inspections of substations within their assigned region

»Directly supervises the contracted uniformed guards in their service area

»Assists Human Resources with confidential investigations

»Assists with storm outage tasks





What does it take to be a Security Investigator?

Required:

»High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years of law enforcement practice

»Excellent report writing, communication and computer expertise

»Investigatory and skilled interview practice and the capability and availability to accept additional responsibilities as necessary

» broad travel all over the Company’s service territory as well as a availability to meet non-traditional time demands of the position

»Valid driver’s license



Preferred:

»Associates Degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Psychology, Public Safety, Forensics, Emergency Management or related field

»Incident Command System (ICS) training

»Established first responder network all over the Central Hudson territory.

Pay range: $96,600-$144,900
