Administrative Assistant
Administration Assistant needed. Putnam Ridge is a 160 bed Skilled Nursing facility consisting of a short term rehab unit, a dementia unit and 2 long term units. We are located at the top of beautiful Mount Ebo Road North in Brewster, NY. Our staff is pleasant, caring and kind. We offer an excellent compensation and benefit package including tuition reimbursement.
Main Functions: Performs secretarial work of a responsible nature and relieves a supervisor of minor executive duties, including coordination of office services such as personnel, budget preparation and control, filing, maintenance of office in orderly fashion, records control and special management tasks. Supervisory experience preferred. Clerical experience in the nursing/medical field and/or health care setting (long term care preferred);
Requirements: Courteous and tactful always. Strong organizational skills, word processing and data entry skills, medical terminology. Ability to handle a variety of assignments, some of moderate complexity and require considerable familiarity with the operating details of the facility. High sense of accountability and responsibility. Ability to form independent decisions in absence of supervisor. Ability to interpret and apply departmental procedures. Knowledge of Federal and State requirements for Long Term Care facilities is a plus.
