About the Role

Sprout Brooklyn is looking for a high-energy Sports Specialist to help campers get outside, move, and have fun in the sun . This isn’t just about teaching sports—it’s about turning physical activity into playful, engaging experiences that encourage teamwork, confidence, and a love of being active.

You’ll lead campers through games, challenges, and movement-based activities , all designed to be age-appropriate and adaptable for Pre-K through 5th grade. Outdoor time is central: running, throwing, jumping, and exploring are all part of your day.

Responsibilities

• Design and run fun, active lessons for small groups (12–14 campers)
• Use sports and outdoor games to teach teamwork, problem-solving, and resilience
• Incorporate Jewish values, Israeli culture, or Hebrew words into activities where it fits naturally
• Keep campers engaged, safe, and enjoying their time in the sun
• Contribute to the overall camp experience by supporting other programs and activities

Who We’re Looking For

• Energetic, enthusiastic, and flexible team players
• 18+ years old
• At least 2 years of experience coaching or teaching sports to kids ages 3–10
• Previous camp experience is a bonus, but not required
• Ability to adapt activities for different ages and energy levels
• Comfortable outdoors in the sun and leading active play
