DIRECTOR OF CHANGE MANAGEMENT AND DATA GOVERNANCE

Director of Change Management & Data Governance

Pay Status and Classification: Exempt, Regular full-time

Position Purpose:
Leads the enterprise information technology change management and data governance efforts to ensure prosperous campus-wide transformation results. Navigates the political and complex process of introducing change including motivating others, dealing with resistance and the emotional elements of change, and extending change over time and sustaining it.
Engages stakeholders across the college community to ensure consciousness of our transformation roadmap and to partner in proactively analyzing business processes, supporting technologies to identify impacts of change and connected risks and opportunities. Works closely with internal and external Project Managers to ensure these risks and opportunities are included in project plans to ensure quality of services upon deployment, enterprise adoption and long-term sustaincapability.

Essential Responsibilities and tasks:

» Change and Project Management: Leads IT and business process transformation change management programs and planning, focusing on effective college-wide participation and collaboration ensuring prosperous community adoption. Analyzes impact, assesses change readiness, and identifies impacted key stakeholders. Proactively leads efforts to assess the current state of data quality, policies, and uscapability to identify and deliver opportunities for improvements as part of transformation initiatives.

» Collaboration and Communication : Builds strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization to foster collaboration and support for change management and data governance initiatives. Partners with leadership abilities on the organizational and cultural changes required for full realization of strategic goals. Develops and executes effective strategic communications across various channels (i.e. email, internal project websites, information sessions, meetings, etc.) for enterprise projects all over their lifecycle. Manages training and orientation for IT transformation initiatives, collaborating with internal and external resources. Designs, develops, and executes change and communications plans.

» Assessment and Data Governance : Leads efforts to define and measure success metrics and to monitor change progress by continuously working with stakeholders to obtain feedback. Conducts evaluation and assessment of the change process during a project practice to identify practices that are working or need improvement. Organizes and leads Union's data governance efforts including data standards, policies, values and guidelines.

» Administration: Serves on college committees as assigned. Offers to assist colleagues during crunch times and overlapping deliverables.

Qualifications required

»Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years' practice leading change management efforts for enterprise information technology transformation initiatives (e.g. Network, Help Desk, Applications, etc.) and/or a combination of significant education, training, certifications, and/or work practice. Advanced degree (Masters or higher) preferred.

»Prior practice as change management lead and/or supporting data governance efforts in Higher Education is preferred.

»Prior practice as change management lead on enterprise resource planning (ERP), student information system (SIS), or customer relationship management (CRM), such as Salesforce or Workforce. implementations or business process re-engineering efforts.

»Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office product and Google Workspace tools (Word, Excel PowerPoint, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.)

»Possesses outstanding interpersonal relationship expertise and an knowledge of the inherent need to establish and maintain effective and collegial relationships with staff, faculty, students, and external stakeholders.

»Demonstrated capability to analyze IT-enabled workflows and business processes within end-to-end lifecycles and user-centered frameworks. Familiarity with ITIL Service Management Framework is a plus.

» capability to independently manage multiple deadlines and priorities with the highest degree of accuracy and efficiency.

»Demonstrated capability to provide superior client service to all levels of the organization with diplomacy, tact and confidence.

»High degree of personal initiative, dedication and commitment to making communication and change efforts prosperous and of the highest quality.

»Able to support, contribute to, and strengthen a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community of students, alumni, faculty, and staff colleagues.
The annual income range for this job offer is $100,00.00-$120,000.00. Starting income will be commensurate with qualifications.
