Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM

As a School IT Support Technician at Fannie Lou Hamer Middle School , you won’t just “fix devices” — you’ll directly enable instruction, reduce downtime, and help teachers and students stay focused on learning rather than tech problems.
When a printer goes down, a Smartboard fails, or a classroom device won’t connect, learning can stall. Your work ensures that classrooms stay functional, instruction continues smoothly, and technology supports student success.
You’ll serve as the on-site technical point person, owning day-to-day technology health and playing a visible, valued role in the school’s daily operations.

What You’ll Do
As a Simply Ed School IT Support Technician, you will:
- Maintain the overall health and functionality of school devices, including laptops, desktops, and classroom technology.
- Configure and manage printer IP addresses and troubleshoot printing and connectivity issues.
- Reimage and support Smartboards and other instructional technology.
- Provide general classroom technology maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Assist teachers and staff with basic technical support to minimize instructional disruptions.
- Ensure all technology is ready and operational for daily school use.
- Track, document, and communicate technology issues and resolutions as needed.
- Attend required trainings and staff meetings.
Who We’re Looking For

- Experienced with basic IT support, hardware troubleshooting, and device setup.
- Familiar with networking basics, including IP addressing, printers, and connectivity.

- Strong communicators with a customer-service mindset.
- Adaptable in fast-paced, real-world environments where priorities can shift quickly.
- Cleared (or eligible for clearance) through DOE PETS background check and fingerprinting.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
