Local Rate: $3,300/week
Travel Rate: $3,961/week
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Brooklyn, NY.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily clinical and operational activities in the Labor & Delivery unit
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate L&D nursing staff and charge nurses
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, Joint Commission, AWHONN, and ACOG standards
- Support quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based maternal care practices
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, and unit readiness for obstetric emergencies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe maternal and neonatal outcomes
Qualifications
- Strong clinical background in high-risk Labor & Delivery nursing required
- Prior leadership experience as ADON, Nurse Manager, or supervisory role required
- Active, unrestricted RN license in the State of New York
- BSN required; Master’s degree preferred
- BLS certification required
- Strong crisis management, leadership, and communication skills
