Test Technician

Description:

Perform testing activities supporting accelerometer production and product validation from initial setup through final acceptance testing. Execute test operations, maintain detailed documentation, and verify product performance using production and customer test equipment. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure quality, reliability, and on-time delivery.

#Education & Job Requirements

*High School Diploma or GED equivalent with previous test experience or equivalent education
*1 - 2 years of experience with hardware testing
*3+ years of experience as a Test Technician
*Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
*Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals
*Must be a U.S. Citizen

#Preferred Skills

*IPC J-STD-001 certification
*Technical degree in an electronics-related curriculum
*Experience working in production, testing, or related environments
*Background troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems
*Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access
*Knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and ESD mitigation principles
*Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues using a digital multimeter (DMM)
*Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and teamwork
*Effective interpersonal and communication skills

#Job Duties & Functions

*Prepare documentation required for test setup and execution
*Perform fixture setup for accelerometer testing
*Initiate and maintain test operations from start to completion
*Conduct rate table and vibration testing activities
*Execute final product testing using customer equipment prior to delivery
*Maintain detailed daily process logs and document faults or anomalies
*Collaborate with electrical engineering and production personnel on testing strategies, troubleshooting, and planning
*Finalize tested products by disassembling test fixtures and cleaning components
*Verify required documentation and database routing prior to final inspection
*Support production activities during periods when testing does not require observation
