HireNow Staffing is seeking an experienced and highly technical Senior Tax Manager with a deep command of U.S. Trusts, Estates, and Private Client Taxation . This is a leadership-level opportunity based in New York , with flexible workspace options in New Jersey . You'll join a mid-sized, partner-led firm that has carved a reputation for precision, integrity, and deep relationships in the high-net-worth space.

This role is ideal for a tax expert who thrives on intricate compliance, proactive estate planning, and building trust with sophisticated clientele. You'll manage a talented team of professionals while remaining hands-on in delivering timely, customized tax solutions that preserve wealth across generations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a 7-person tax team , overseeing planning, compliance, and review functions for trusts, estates, and private client accounts

• Serve as a technical resource on complex issues involving Form 1041, 706, 709, and related filings

• Provide strategic estate planning and succession guidance for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and family offices

• Review and sign off on individual, fiduciary, and estate returns with accuracy and insight

• Ensure ongoing compliance with IRS regulations and advise clients during audits or other tax authority interactions

• Collaborate with attorneys, wealth advisors, and fiduciaries to align tax strategies with broader financial goals

• Train and mentor team members while contributing to the firm's knowledge-sharing culture

• Participate in strategic initiatives, client development, and internal process improvements within the tax group

Who We're Looking For:

• CPA or EA designation (U.S.-based) is required

• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, Taxation, or a related field

• 7-10+ years of progressive public accounting experience focused on trusts, estates, and high-net-worth individual taxation

• Demonstrated experience managing both client engagements and tax staff

• Expertise in estate planning, gift tax returns, and wealth preservation strategies

• Excellent communication skills, especially when working with sophisticated clients and third-party advisors

• Must be based in New York or New Jersey , or have the ability to commute to one of the firm's offices

Compensation & Perks:

• Base Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000 USD

• Bonus Potential: Performance-driven and tied to individual and team contributions

• Worksite Flexibility: Primary office in New York , with optional days in the New Jersey office

• Relocation Assistance: Not offered for this role
