The technician must maintain a fully stocked company vehicle, and be prepared for weekend flexibility during the busy season.

Responsibilities and Expectations

• Expertly perform residential HVAC service calls, ensuring all repairs are completed accurately and efficiently.

• Must maintain proper truck stock to maximize first-call resolutions.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex heating, cooling, and ventilation system malfunctions by asking the right questions and applying proven technical expertise.

• Establish customer rapport by providing professional service and offering appropriate maintenance, repair, and replacement solutions.

• Clearly explain replacement opportunities for aging, inefficient, or underperforming systems to clients.

• Maintain a professional, clean, and organized job site and a well-inventoried company service vehicle.

• Train and mentor apprentices, helping to develop the next generation of skilled technicians.

• Weekend flexibility is required during the busy season.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience performing residential HVAC service calls.

• Oil burner service experience is a plus

• Must demonstrate high accountability, possess a low ego, be coachable, and maintain a strong communicator approach.

• Must possess a Valid Driver’s License and maintain a clean driving record

• Must own a professional set of tools.

• Prior Nexstar training is a huge plus.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, tech savvy, and an upbeat/positive attitude.

The compensation for this position is expected to range between $20.00 to $50.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed.
