Staff Product Manager, Data Intelligence Platform
Are you a systems thinker who thrives at the intersection of data, infrastructure, and product strategy? Do you enjoy transforming complex technical capabilities into seamless customer experiences? Are you eager to drive the evolution of a reporting and analytics platform that powers business decisions across an entire industry? If so, we invite you to be a part of our innovative team.
As a Staff Product Manager on Ridgeline’s Data Intelligence Platform, you will own the strategy, vision, and roadmap for the reporting engine and data retrieval layer that power our analytics experiences. You’ll collaborate with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to deliver high-performance, scalable, and intuitive reporting capabilities that “just work” for our clients and internal users. Leveraging cutting-edge technologies—including AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude Code—you’ll shape how data becomes insight across the Ridgeline ecosystem.
At Ridgeline, how we work matters as much as what we build. Ridgeliners act like owners, choose growth over comfort, and communicate with transparency. We assume positive intent, bias toward action, and bring solutions—not just problems. We celebrate wins, learn from setbacks, and thrive in a resilient, collaborative, high-performing culture.
If this excites you, we’d love to meet you.
You must be work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
The impact you will have:
- Reporting “just works” at scale : Customers and internal teams experience faster, more reliable reporting even as data volumes and complexity grow, with fewer urgent issues tied to the reporting engine.
- All customer-facing data is reportable : customers can report on and access all of their data via reports, dashboards, and APIs without special one-off work, reducing ad-hoc data pulls and custom solutions.
- Data is leveraged as a product across Ridgeline : You own a clearly defined slice of the Data Intelligence Platform end to end, and other teams know when and how to build on your area instead of reinventing their own reporting logic.
What you will do:
- Define and maintain a clear strategy and roadmap for the reporting engine and data retrieval layer
- Partner closely with engineering to deliver industry-leading performance, scalability, and reliability in reporting capabilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all customer-facing data is reportable by default
- Translate complex technical tradeoffs and architectural decisions into clear, actionable product priorities
- Deeply understand internal and external users, gathering insights to drive improvements in reporting APIs and user experience
- Contribute to educational content, guides, and examples that make complex reporting concepts easy to adopt
- Lead discovery, prioritization, and execution for your product area, maintaining alignment with organizational goals
- Act as a cultural driver by communicating transparently, taking ownership, and leading with a growth mindset
- Think creatively, own problems, seek solutions, and communicate clearly along the way
- Contribute to a collaborative environment rooted in learning, teaching, and transparency
What we look for:
- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in reporting, analytics, or data platform products
- Proven experience partnering closely with engineers on technically complex systems involving queries, schemas, contracts, or performance
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical topics to both engineering and business audiences
- Strategic thinker who balances customer needs with platform scalability and long-term architecture
- Demonstrated success managing backlogs, roadmaps, and discovery processes for platform or infrastructure products
- Familiarity with data-intensive or regulated domains (such as financial services) is a plus
- Growth mindset and desire to take on increasing ownership within a collaborative, evolving product organization
- Willingness to learn about cutting-edge technologies while cultivating expertise in a business domain/problem space.
- An aptitude for problem solving
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Serious interest in having fun at work
Bonus
- Experience with performance-sensitive backend systems or large-scale analytics platforms
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures or enterprise data systems
- Passion for mentoring, teaching, and creating clarity in complex technical domains
- Background in investment or asset management
- Knowledge of economics or finance
