A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Registered Dietician

Position type: Full-time, Contract

Duration: 3+ Months

Location: 234 E 149th Street, Bronx, NY 1045

Schedule: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

As a Registered Dietician you will:

Monitors patients for and provides education on food/drug interactions. Records food and drug interactions in the education section. Consults with physicians regarding appropriate diet modification.

Job Responsibilities:

· Screens and assesses patients in an accurate and timely manner based on levels of care; determines patients' nutritional needs and status and provides follow-up care.

· Interviews patients and/or their families to obtain history of food habits and preferences.

· Interprets pertinent laboratory, physical and social data in the medical record, as it applies to nutrition care.

· Provides nutrition education and records patient's diet and diet instructions and the patient's understanding of the diet in the education section.

· Modifies patient menus as needed.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

· Minimal one (1) year of experience

· Education: Graduate from accredited college/university with a degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition.

· For post-acute locations, requirements New York State Certification, issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) as a “Dietitian-Nutritionist”

· For Acute locations: Registration by the Commissions on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian Primary Source Verification – Required

· Outpatient experience and also experience with dialysis patients.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $45 - $57 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
