Engineer (Temporary) - Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza

The Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza is seeking a temporary Engineer to join their property operations team! This 439-room Midtown high-rise is the closest hotel to the United Nations and half a mile from Grand Central Station. We’re within one mile of Bryant Park, The Morgan Library, and Rockefeller Center!

The ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience as an engineer in a hospitality or commercial environment, as well as full availability (including nights, weekends, and holidays)!

Shift Pattern: f ull availability, including weekends and holidays, is needed for this role

Pay Rate: $31.31 - 41.88 per hour

What will I be Doing?

As an Engineer, you would be responsible for both maintaining and repairing all aspects of the building, furniture, rooms and equipment throughout the facility in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Assists Engineers and trains with Engineers/trade mechanics to learn to maintain the physical functionality of the facility including guest rooms, public space and heart-of-the-house areas

• Performs a variety of repair and maintenance and cleaning tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electric, painting, HVAC and masonry. Inspects guestrooms, public space and heart-of-the-house for needed and preventive maintenance

• Maintains detailed record-keeping of all work orders and completed assignments

• Performs additional office-related work (i.e. receives deliveries, runs errands for parts, etc.)
