Elementary Assistant Principal

Title of Position: Assistant Principal - location TBD

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Learning Standards and NY state assessments

• Experience teaching/working at a public school in NY (strongly preferred)

• Strong understanding of the Science of Reading, Science of Mathematics and New York State Literacy and Mathematics Briefs

• Strong understanding of social-emotional learning, classroom and behavior management

• The ability and commitment to use technology as an instructional tool

• Uncompromising commitment to continuous improvement

• Broad experience with a variety of instructional techniques

• Flexibility, enthusiasm, creativity, and willingness to develop programs and collaborate with and support other staff

• Loyalty and evidence of being a team player

• Commitment to equity and inclusion of all members of the school community

Requirements: NY State certification in School Building Leader

Position Available: on/about July 1, 2025

Salary: step 1 of the assistant principal schedule - $116,788
