This key function will support the HR team with various functions including providing assistance and contributing to the development of HR policies, processes, and procedures, which include but are not limited to:
HR Administration :
»Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases ensuring data integrity and security.
»Generate and analyze HR reports and metrics upon client request.
»Help with the preparation and distribution of HR-related documents.
»Participate in HR projects
Benefits and Compensation
»Partners and collaborates with internal departments/subject matter experts in delivering actionable responses or plans to client’s concerns.
Employee Onboarding and Offboarding:
»Detailed review of Prism software tasks, including all necessary documentation including I-9s for compliance. Review and approval of terminations.
Employee Relations:
»
»Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances efficiently in a collaborative manner with clients.
»Provide guidance to clients and their employees on HR policies and procedures
»Foster a positive and inclusive work environment to promote employee engagement
Compliance and Policy Adherence :
»
»Ensure client adherence to labor laws, regulations, and company policies through development of Employee Handbooks, polices, procedures.
»Source and educate clients regarding updated employment law and assist with interpretation.
»Assist in maintaining accurate employee records and documentation.
»Assist in preparation of required HR report to Regulatory agencies including EEOC and Affirmative Action plans.
»Understand and assist with writing legal documents including severance agreements, sales commissions, corrective actions, and performance improvement plans.
Training and Development :
»
»Collaborate and identify training needs and assist in developing training programs for clients.
»Responsible for ensuring shared employees are compliant with all required training/certifications in particular NYS Harassment training and requested workshops.
»Support client performance appraisal process by providing tools, guidance and training to managers and employees.
Additional Job tasks:
»Potential cross-training with Benefits department during Open Enrollment
»Team player with availability to lgain and grow in the HR field.
Qualifications required
»Bachelor's Degree or significant practice (4+ years) in a HR Generalist
» capability to work onsite Monday thru Friday in Poughkeepsie
»Exceptional attention to detail with strong communication acumen; written and verbal.
»Capacity to commute locally up to 25% of the time
Compensation :
Benefits offered to employees include Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Family Leave, Life Insurance, 401(k) Retirement, Holidays, Vacation and Sick days. Compensation for this job offer will be commensurate with practice, with a range of $65,000 to $70,000 and provide the prosperous candidate with broad practice in a large number of industries.
