Food Runner

• Deliver food from the kitchen to the correct tables accurately and in a timely manner
• Confirm dishes against tickets before leaving the pass, ensuring every plate is correct and presentation-ready
• Learn and confidently communicate menu items, ingredients, and preparation to guests upon delivery
• Coordinate with the kitchen and servers to ensure proper course pacing and table flow
• Anticipate the floor's needs — proactively communicate ticket times, delays, or modifications to the service team
• Assist servers with table maintenance, including clearing plates, refilling water, and resetting covers
• Support the expo station during service, helping organize and stage outgoing dishes
• Handle food with care and professionalism, maintaining presentation standards from pass to table
• Maintain cleanliness of the expo area, server stations, and dining room throughout service
• Assist with opening and closing side work, including restocking service stations and polishing glassware
• Uphold all food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with NYC DOH guidelines
• Support the broader FOH team during high-volume periods with a positive, team-first attitude

Required

• Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment (food running, bussing, or serving experience preferred)
• Ability to carry multiple plates simultaneously and move efficiently through a dining room
• Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail under pressure
• Clear, professional communication with both kitchen and floor teams
• Positive team-first attitude with a genuine interest in hospitality
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods; comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs

Preferred

• Experience in a chef-driven, concept-forward, or boutique dining environment
• Familiarity with Japanese hospitality culture
• Interest in food and culinary concepts, enthusiasm for the PST menu is a genuine plus
• Experience working with an expo or pass station in a high-volume kitchen
