SVP, Global Marketing, Haircare Cluster
Description
This role will be responsible for developing strategic Product and Consumer marketing direction globally, based on a foundation of consumer insight and applied marketing. By leading collaboration, position is responsible for the innovation & marketing of quality products, programs and promotions that resonate with consumers globally, are within brand codes, build profitability and enhance the brand's competitive position in the global marketplace.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Brand Strategy:

Develop annual strategic plan, supporting ELC corporate strategic plan, in conjunction with GM, Finance and all key brand stakeholders, and execute against it.

Evaluate new business opportunities, its impact on long term vs. short term gain, and participate in the review process and strategic implementation (i.e., Spa, E?Commerce).

Work closely with GM, Creative Development, and President to develop innovation strategy for the brand, based on insight from both the markets and consumers, and leveraging new technologies and corporate platforms.
Key Responsibilities:

Is the catalyst responsible for the conception, approval, development and for gaining affiliate support for all marketing programs. This encompasses both an 18?month detailed plan and a 3?year overview.

Oversees all aspects of program implementation with cross functional partner groups to bring new programs to market. (Includes but not limited to New Launch Management, Product Development, Packaging, Design, GSR, Creative, Education)

Develops marketing spending strategy and spending mix between advertising, merchandising, and sampling, including managing the forecasting of all support elements.

Conducts pricing studies and issues recommendations to management, directs market research to determine trends and opportunities in any markets, analyzes competition and product performance to improve market share globally.

Work with Finance and GBSCM to ensure that we achieve brand COG targets and manage SKU count to achieve brand guidelines set by corporate.

With GBSCM and Packaging, achieve operational excellence: ensure new products are launched on time, within cost parameters, and according to the brands quality standards.

Develop a global, regionally relevant, consumer marketing strategy across all consumer touch points.
Overall:

Ensure all initiatives contribute positively to the brands growth, profitability, DNA, and strategy.

Work to strengthen analytic capabilities including ROI analyses of programs.

Provide leadership to Global Marketing team, and work to attract and retain "best in class" talent for all positions within the group.
Qualifications
-
12+ years of relevant work experience in a fast?paced, luxury, marketing?oriented environment.

Previous strategic, consumer and applied marketing experience required.

Knowledge of Global Marketing principles and socio?cultural climates essential.

Strong financial acumen.
-
Outstanding written, oral, and presentation?based communications skills.
-
Experience in managing and developing a team, flexibility to work with global teams.

Ability to succeed in a highly creative environment and collaborate effectively with creative, product development, sales, marketing, retail partners, and global communications.

Experience using PC?based applications (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook).

Travel to US and International markets required, most importantly to the top markets in the Asia and Europe markets.
