Safety Audit Manager

Position Summary:
The Safety Department of OPAL Fuels is currently seeking to add an additional jobsite Safety Audit Manager to their team. Reporting to the Director of Safety, the selected candidate will perform field audits, nationally, to verify regulatory compliance with safety codes, regulations, standards, and related OPAL Fuels Company requirements at all jobsites. As well as performing safety audits, the Safety Audit Manager will conduct in-house company training and enhance the culture of safety of OPAL Fuels.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct safety audits to review compliance of procedures in the following areas: · adherence to company policy and procedures with emphasis on safety. · safety metrics and compliance. · observation and reporting of safety violation(s) and/or unsafe situations.
- Assist with and/or recommend corrective action(s); then proceed to follow up with each site.
- Work with the management team on compliance issues and training.
- Assist with reviewing inspection reports to ensure all OPAL Fuel sites are maintained per company expectations.
- Assist with new programs as developed.
- Assist in training needs when an audit presents the necessity.
- Review and assist in maintaining current policies on safety.
- Ensure that administrative duties (tracking, documentation, and follow-up is done timely and efficiently).
- Review and maintain safety training classes in the company dashboard.
- Other duties as assigned by the Compliance Committee/Safety Manager.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety or equivalent required.
- Ability to maintain and protect a high level of confidentiality.
- Industry experience in oil, gas, and/or electric power generation preferred.
- Must be detail oriented and possess exceptional written, administrative, and verbal communication skills.
- Five years of public speaking experience.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Weekly travel with occasional weekend travel (approximately 75% travel).
- Must be familiar with OSHA regulations.
- 3-5 years of previous safety auditing experience.
- OSHA 30-hour construction and/or general industry training is preferred.
Work Hours: Exempt; standard Monday - Friday; 1st shift (40-50 hours); hours may fluctuate, travel is 70%.

Position requires physical effort such as that associated with driving a motorized vehicle, using hand tools, and typing on a computer. Position requires moderate lifting (30-60 lbs.), occasional need to walk on irregular surfaces, wrist, and arm movements.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
