**Job Overview**

We are seeking a highly creative, detail-oriented, and platform-savvy **Video Editor** to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw footage into premium, high-impact video content specifically optimized for social media platforms (including Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, YouTube long-form, and LinkedIn).

The ideal candidate doesn't just cut clips together; they understand visual storytelling, pacing, hook mechanics, and how to maintain pristine visual and audio quality while adhering to fast-moving social media trends.

**Key Responsibilities**

* **End-to-End Editing:** Edit raw footage into polished, high-quality videos, including color grading, sound design, audio mixing, and seamless transitions.
* **Platform Optimization:** Format and export videos tailored to specific platform specifications (e.g., 9:16 vertical for TikTok/Reels, 16:9 for YouTube, 1:1 for square feeds).
* **Retention & Engagement:** Implement high-converting "hooks" within the first 3 seconds of a video, using fast-paced cutting, kinetic typography, dynamic captions, and sound effects to maximize watch time.
* **Motion Graphics & Visuals:** Incorporate engaging motion graphics, text overlays, b-roll, pop-ups, and brand assets to elevate the visual aesthetic.
* **Trend Analysis:** Stay up-to-date on social media trends, viral audio, platform algorithms, and emerging editing styles to keep our content fresh and relevant.
* **Asset Management:** Organize, back up, and maintain a clean library of digital assets, project files, and templates.
* **Collaboration:** Work closely with content creators, scriptwriters, and marketing managers to brainstorm concepts and ensure the final product aligns with brand guidelines and campaign goals.

**Requirements & Qualifications**

* **Experience:** 2–4+ years of professional video editing experience, with a proven portfolio/reel showcasing high-quality content created specifically for social media.
* **Software Mastery:** Expert proficiency in industry-standard software, primarily **Adobe Premiere Pro** or **DaVinci Resolve**, and a strong working knowledge of **Adobe After Effects** (for motion graphics).
* **Audio & Color Skills:** Strong understanding of color correction/grading and audio engineering (noise reduction, leveling, and choosing/timing background tracks).
* **Social Media Native:** Deep, intuitive understanding of what performs well on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. You understand trends, meme culture, and audience behavior.
* **Speed & Efficiency:** Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality.
* **Attention to Detail:** Meticulous eye for detail regarding timing, framing, subtitle accuracy, and visual continuity.

**Bonus Points If You Have:**

* Experience with AI editing tools, automated captioning workflows, or advanced color-grading plugins.
* Skills in basic graphic design (creating YouTube thumbnails, cover images).
