Primary Responsibilities:

If you're skilled in repairs, troubleshooting, and have a knack for fixing things, our maintenance tech position could be right up your alley!

As a Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibilities include:

• Showing care and concern for our residents through excellence in service ticket resolution and preventative maintenance
• Resolving maintenance issues in the area of minor electrical, plumbing, construction, painting, appliance repair & general maintenance repairs
• Preparing vacant apartments for move-in through turn-over repairs and improvements
• Preserving the beauty of the building and the safety of the community through general upkeep and cleanliness, snow removal and grounds maintenance
• Providing residents with outstanding customer service
• Ensure the workplace meets safety standards and adheres to health and safety regulations and company policies
• Participate in safety training as required
• Working weekends or evenings and being on call for after hour emergencies

What You Bring to Us:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience in building maintenance or an education in the trades
• General knowledge of tools
• Availability for emergency situations at the property, including an on-call rotation
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds of force frequently
• Personal, reliable transportation to get to work and to respond to on-call emergencies and valid drivers license
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• A sharp professional appearance
• Ability to regularly walk, climb, kneel, crouch and stand for long periods
• Ability to work outside and regularly exposed to all weather elements including extreme cold or heat, rain, sleet and snow

High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Residential painting: 2 years (Preferred)
• Residential Plumbing: 2 years (Preferred)
• Residential Electrical : 2 years (Preferred)
