Patient Guest Services Liaison
Patient Relations / Administrative Coordinator
Our client is seeking a professional and compassionate Patient Relations / Administrative Coordinator to serve as a primary point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff within a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role is responsible for managing inquiries, coordinating patient location information, and providing high-level administrative and customer service support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and timely information regarding patient location to visitors, callers, and staff while maintaining strict confidentiality
- Greet and assist patients and visitors, offering clear directions and guidance throughout the facility
- Respond to and triage high-volume calls and walk-in inquiries, ensuring prompt and appropriate resolution
- Identify urgent situations and escalate or deliver messages immediately using paging or internal communication systems
- Coordinate with departments such as Admitting, Nursing Units, Operating Room, and other clinical areas to verify patient status and location
- Track and follow up on messages to ensure timely response by appropriate staff
- Transfer calls efficiently and provide callers with accurate contact information
- Maintain confidentiality protocols, especially regarding restricted or blocked patient information
- Communicate updates such as room changes or patient movement to relevant departments
- Support visitors and families, including directing them to appropriate waiting or conference areas when needed
- Provide information on facility policies, visiting hours, and procedures
- Assist visitors with directions to nearby amenities such as restaurants, hotels, and parking facilities
- Provide clerical and administrative support to departmental leadership as needed
- Monitor lobby and common areas to ensure a welcoming and organized environment
Qualifications:Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2–4 years of experience in a healthcare, customer service, or administrative role
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer proficiency
Preferred:
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Compensation:
- $24–$25 per hour
