Elevated and unique omakase counter & cocktail lounge Manager - New Opening in Lower East Side, NYC
We are excited to announce the opening of our newest elevated and unique omakase counter & cocktail lounge concept in the heart of the Lower East Side, and we're looking for a talented and experienced Manager to be a part of this culinary journey!
About Us:
The concept will present a speakeasy omakase in the back of a elevated cocktail lounge. The concept led by chef Ambrely Ouimette and her team celebrates the art of omakase where every dish is a creative expression of seasonal ingredients and culinary mastery. Our ethos centers on providing an exceptional dining experience that delights the senses in an intimate and stylish setting.
Position Overview:
As the Manager, you will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining our high standards of service and guest satisfaction. You will lead our dedicated team, ensuring every aspect of the dining experience reflects our commitment to excellence and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and ensure seamless service in our omakase restaurant.
- Train, mentor, and inspire staff to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to curate an innovative, seasonal omakase menu.
- Create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests. Guest forward relations is very important for us.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve any concerns with professionalism and care.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven management experience in a fine dining restaurant, preferably with an emphasis on omakase or Japanese cuisine.
- Passion for exceptional food and a strong understanding of omakase principles.
- Outstanding leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage high-stress situations while maintaining composure and focus.
- Knowledge of wine and beverage pairing is a plus.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
