Job Summary

The Food Distribution Attendant is responsible for delivering food and product from the kitchen to locations around the convention center as needed.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
* Ensures all food and beverage is properly delivered and/or stored in hot boxes to ensure freshness.
* Pick up food from the kitchen and deliver it to the appropriate service based on BEO's.
* Follows set up and break down processes efficiently.
* Thoroughly completes all event set-up and breakdown responsibilities within timelines provided.
* Performs post event product inventory and restocks as needed.
* Understands how to read BEO's and can learn the convention center locations quickly
* Acts with a sense of urgency and professionalism.
* Employs good safety and sanitation practices.
* Follows responsible alcohol service policies.
* Understands the importance of maintaining equipment.
* Helps fellow employees whenever necessary.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
* Stand for long periods of time and be able to actively engage physically with guests.
* Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
* React with physical and mental alertness in emergency situations.
* Demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods throughout the day.
* Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds.
* Move from sitting to standing position easily and quickly.

REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will have a desire to gain experience and work in the foodservice or hospitality industry. An outgoing personality is preferred. The candidate should have the ability to interact with high profile guests and remain professional and dedicated to providing exceptional experience. The ability to communicate effectively by speaking and comprehending English, with the ability to problem solve and make decisions with little guidance.
