M&A / Corporate Associate Attorney New York City or Long Island, NY | Hybrid $175,000 – $250,000
A well-established full-service law firm is seeking a mid- to senior-level Corporate Associate to join its Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Practice Group. This is a great opportunity for an attorney who wants direct partner access, meaningful deal responsibility, and exposure to a wide range of sophisticated transactions — without the bureaucracy of a larger firm.
What You'll Be Working On:
- Representing buyers and sellers in M&A transactions, including private equity-backed and strategic deals
- Drafting and negotiating stock and asset purchase agreements, merger agreements, shareholders agreements, operating agreements, and related ancillary documents
- Advising clients on entity formation, corporate governance, compliance, and commercial agreements
- Interacting directly with clients including founders, portfolio company executives, PE sponsors, and family offices
- Analyzing M&A legal and regulatory issues and conducting related research
Qualifications:
- JD and New York Bar admission required; New Jersey a plus
- 2–8 years of M&A / corporate transactional experience
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and project management skills
- Deal sheet outlining transaction experience and level of involvement required
The Setup:
- NYC or Long Island office — your choice
- Hybrid: 2–3 days in office following initial training period
- Expected billables: approximately 1,800 hours annually
- Compensation: $175,000 – $250,000 commensurate with experience, plus full benefits
