Position Summary
A detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist is needed to manage invoicing, collections, and customer account reconciliations in a services-based construction environment . This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative office and takes full accountability for accurate and timely financial processing.
Key Responsibilities
Generate and issue accurate, timely invoices, including progress billings in accordance with contract terms.
Monitor AR aging reports and actively pursue collection of outstanding balances.
Apply payments received, reconcile customer accounts, and resolve billing discrepancies.
Collaborate with project managers and field supervisors to ensure correct billing based on work completed.
Prepare monthly AR and collections reporting, including Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
Support internal controls and audit processes related to revenue recognition and receivables.
Qualifications
4–6 years of Accounts Receivable experience , with construction or field services industry experience required .
Strong understanding of construction billing formats and contract billing terms (e.g., AIA, progress billing, T&M).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis) and ERP/accounting software (NetSuite or equivalent).
Excellent communication skills with both internal teams and external clients.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accountable.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred.
