Certified OR Tech,
This role is for a Certified Operating Room Technician responsible for providing surgical support in a variety of surgical settings, including elective and emergency procedures for adult and pediatric patients. The technician will assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient operating room environment.

Responsibilities:
- Preparing surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assisting surgeons during surgical procedures.
- Maintaining a sterile surgical field.
- Monitoring patient vital signs and reporting any changes.
- Cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assisting with patient positioning and transfer.
- Maintaining accurate records of surgical procedures.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
- Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
- Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
- Experience in a variety of surgical specialties (may be waived if the candidate has worked without certification for the past 15 years).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to maintain a sterile surgical field.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience working in a large, multi-specialty surgical facility.
- Experience with pediatric surgical procedures.
- Advanced surgical skills and knowledge.
Special Considerations:
- Weekend and on-call responsibilities: One weekend per month and one call per week.
- Facility has 23 operating rooms and 1 procedure room.
- First-time travelers are accepted.
- Candidates must live within 75 miles of the facility.
- Shift: 3 twelve-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM).
Scheduling:
- Three 12-hour day shifts per week (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM).
- One weekend per month and one call per week are required.
