D&O Insurance Coverage Associate Position—NYC (Exclusive Search)
A high-end insurance defense coverage-focused boutique law firm seeks to hire for its downtown Manhattan office a midlevel, senior, or junior associate for a role focused on directors and officers coverage matters: a mix of coverage analysis/opinion drafting and litigation. The specific split depends on the candidate’s background and interests. The firm is open to an associate with D&O insurance coverage or other types of insurance coverage experience, or someone with an interest in the area. I have placed more than thirty attorneys with the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cases involve directors and officers coverage matters; a mix of coverage analysis/opinion drafting and litigation, depending on the candidate's background and interests
Requirements:
- One to seven years of coverage or litigation experience
- Strong academic credentials
- Experience with insurance coverage matters or a well-credentialed attorney with an interest in the area
What the Firm Offers:
- Base salary of one hundred fifty-five to one hundred ninety thousand, depending on class year/experience
- Discretionary bonus (typically ten to twenty thousand)
- Collegial work environment
- Annual billable hours target of nineteen fifty
- Hybrid role: three days expected in office per week
