Certified Peer Recovery Advocate

As a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA), you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with substance use challenges by leveraging your lived experience and professional training. Responsibilities
- Engage in outreach with individuals currently in a program or considering treatment to foster trust and encourage participation in recovery services.
- Utilize personal recovery experience and professional training to enhance individuals' engagement in treatment and commitment to recovery goals.
- Connect clients to community-based recovery supports in alignment with their treatment, recovery, and discharge plans.
- Provide non-clinical crisis support, particularly following hospitalization or incarceration, to help clients navigate transitions.
- Educate program participants about different recovery pathways and available resources.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments to offer support and advocacy.
- Promote awareness of social services and other support resources available in the community.
- Link participants to formal recovery supports and assist with accessing benefits as needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Peer Recovery Advocate (CRPA) or CRPA-Provisional (CRPA-P) required.
- Personal experience with substance use recovery and a commitment to supporting others on their recovery journey.
Compensation
$19 per hour base pay , with an additional temporary grant-funded bonus of $6 per hour through the end of the grant period.
