Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HR Generalist to join our manufacturing team. This dual-role position is responsible for processing payroll and supporting human resources functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, particularly with ADP systems, and a solid understanding of HR compliance and reporting, employment regulations, recruiting, and different types of Leaves.Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Duties:- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees using ADP.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and reports.
- Handle payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Enter third party sick pay into system
- Enter benefit information into payroll
- Process 401k and HSA information and transfers
- Coordinate with Finance for payroll-related reporting and audits.
Human Resources Duties:
- Assist in onboarding and offboarding employees.
- Maintain employee records and HRIS systems.
- All aspects of recruitment.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Support benefits administration and open enrollment processes.
- Assist with employee relations, performance management, and policy enforcement.
- Process leave reporting and paperwork, i.e., FMLA, Disability, Workers Compensation,
- Participate in safety and compliance initiatives relevant to a manufacturing environment.
- Prepare compliance testing, 5500. EEO1 and ACA information.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associates or Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business
- Experience: 35 years of experience in payroll and HR, preferably in a manufacturing
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with ADP payroll systems; strong Microsoft Office skills
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of HR compliance, employment laws (FMLA, FLSA,
- Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to handle
