Beth El Day Camp held on Beth El Synagogue Center grounds is a Jewish summer camp for children ages 2-12. Qualifications:

• Minimum age of 16 years
• Ability to work under direct supervision and follow instructions
• Strong attention to detail, especially regarding food allergies and labeling
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Willingness to wear gloves and provided uniform/apron
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and assist with lifting, cleaning, and organizing
• Responsible, reliable, and team-oriented

Responsibilities :

• Work under the direct supervision of the Camp Chef and assist as needed
• Help prepare lunches and morning and afternoon snacks
• Monitor pick-up and return of food trays to the kitchen
• Label snack and food trays for campers with food allergies
• Replenish food, paper goods, and utensils at lunch tables as needed
• Set up food and grape juice for Oneg Shabbat on Fridays
• Assist with inventory of day camp food and food-related supplies
• Keep storage rooms neat and organized
• Dispose of garbage properly
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and kitchen supplies

Hours: 8:20 A.M.-2:30 P.M.

Camp Session:

June 29 - August 16, 2026

Important Dates:

New Staff Orientation: Thursday, June 11th (5:00pm-9:00pm)

All Staff #1 Orientation: Sunday, June 14th (11:30am - 6:00pm)

All Staff #2 Orientation: Monday, June 15th (5:00pm-9:00pm)

Compensation: $3,000 - $4,000, commensurate with experience
