Fleet Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all types of landscaping equipment, including mowers, leaf blowers, weed whackers, and snow equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair vehicles, gasoline and diesel engines, and heavy machinery, including skid steers, excavators, and trailers.
• Operate power tools and utilize a wide variety of maintenance hand tools.
• Travel to various worksites throughout Westchester, NJ, and Dutchess County.
• Work in various weather conditions, including snow, rain, heat, and cold.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with training and onboarding new shop employees.
• Follow all shop protocols and maintenance schedules.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing landscaping equipment and vehicles.
• Proficiency in using power tools and maintenance hand tools.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Strong adherence to safety protocols.
• Excellent communication skills for training and onboarding new employees.
