Network and Cybersecurity Architect

Akkodis is seeking a Network and Cybersecurity Architect for a Contract with a client in Albany, NY. This role requires deep expertise in enterprise/industrial networking and cybersecurity architecture to guide technology selection, integrate security controls, and ensure performance, availability, and regulatory alignment.

Rate Range: $75/hour to $85/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Network and Cybersecurity Architect Job Responsibilities include:

• Develop, document, and maintain current‑state and future‑state network and cybersecurity architectures, standards, and roadmaps for ITS, OT, and enterprise environments.

• Design and recommend resilient network solutions including routing, segmentation, WAN connectivity, firewalls, VPNs, and secure remote access.

• Lead and support cybersecurity engineering initiatives such as SIEM, EDR, IAM, NAC, vulnerability assessments, and secure architecture reviews.

• Evaluate emerging networking and security technologies, conduct proofs of concept, and provide technical guidance for implementation and integration.

• Analyze network performance and security posture to recommend improvements in reliability, scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with security leadership, engineering teams, and stakeholders to ensure architectural designs align with operational, regulatory, and cybersecurity requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Extensive hands‑on experience in network and cybersecurity architecture, engineering, and design within enterprise or industrial environments.

• Strong expertise in enterprise and industrial networking, including routing and segmentation (OSPF, BGP), firewall and VPN design, and high‑availability architectures.

• Proven experience designing and integrating cybersecurity technologies such as SIEM, EDR, IAM, NAC, vulnerability management, and secure access solutions in critical infrastructure or OT environments.

Pay Details: $75.00 to $85.00 per hour
